I recommend you to check you're wearing your Sense 2 correctly and restart it too. Also, force quit the Fitbit app from your phone's settings, then reopen it, check your Bluetooth connection and force a sync.

I appreciate your attempt on restarting the Sense 2 to improve the situation, as a following step I recommend you to delete your Sense 2 and sync it once again, after that change the clock face.

I thank you for the steps you've tried already. My best recommendation would be for you to check in the Settings app on your device, find the brightness setting, and tap to change it. Also, turn off the always-on display setting (available on certain Fitbit devices). For more information, refer to How do I see the time on my Fitbit device? and consider changing your clock face, as animated clock faces may require more frequent charging. Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @zoeiem. Thanks for letting me know about this situation with your current Sense 2 and the past Fitbit devices that over calculate your steps, I'll do my best to help you. Fitbit devices use a 3-axis accelerometer to count your steps. This sensor also allows your device to determine the frequency, duration, intensity, and patterns of your movement, this is why while driving and doing some other activities your Sense 2 will count them as steps. But you can edit or delete your activity data when needed, check this article to get more information. The Pixel Watch tracks steps using an internal accelerometer, which tracks the natural swing of your arm as you walk, we don't have information in regards other brands.

I recommend you to double check you're wearing your Charge 6 correctly, restart the Charge 6 too, and make sure both the Charge 6 and the Fitbit app are updated.

I understand how you feel, I'll do the best I can to help you. I appreciate your efforts in contacting support, the situation is that the Sense 2 uses a 3-axis accelerometer to detect movement patterns, including frequency, duration, and intensity, that indicate walking or running, since your hand is in movement while driving this is why it tracks steps. You can edit, add or delete activities, for more information check this article. You can also not wear your Sense 2 so it will not track anything.

Can you answer the following, please? - Are the green LED lights on the back of the Sense 2 on? - When was the last time you charged it? - How long did you charge it for? - If you haven't charged your Fitbit recently, please try charging it for 2 hours. - Does it vibrate when you plug your Sense 2 into the charging cable? - Have you tried restarting your Sense 2 by following the steps in our support article, "How do I restart my Fitbit device?" - Have you tried following the steps in our support article, "Why isn't my Fitbit device's battery charging?" In regards to your Google logging, I recommend you to contact gmail support if you have not tried using a different password or resetting it.

Can you let me know how you able to actually confirm it is tracking more that it is, please? Have you tried restarting your Charge 5 and check if both the app and Charge 5 are updated? And, in regards to a good replacement, if you really want to upgrade, I recommend you to upgrade to the Charge 6, you can check the specs of it here.
