About Company:
Yahoo! is a web services provider that is wholly owned by Verizon Communications through Oath Inc. and headquartered in Sunnyvale, California. Yahoo was one of the pioneers of the early Internet era in the 1990s. Marissa Mayer, a former Google executive, served as CEO and President of Yahoo until June 2017.
It was globally known for its Web portal, search engine Yahoo! Search, and related services, including Yahoo! Directory, Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo! News, Yahoo! Finance, Yahoo! Groups, Yahoo! Answers, advertising, online mapping, video sharing, fantasy sports, and its social media website. At its height, it was one of the most popular sites in the United States. According to third-party web analytics providers, Alexa and SimilarWeb, Yahoo! was the highest-read news and media website, with over 7 billion views per month, being the sixth most visited website globally in 2016.
In 2017, Yahoo was placed at position #898 in Forbes’ Global 2000 list, #358 in America’s Best Employers, #321 in America’s Top Public Companies, and #96 in the World’s Most Powerful Brands (2012). Also, placed at position #513 in 2016 and at position #498 in 2017 on Fortune 500 list.
Recruitment Process:
Yahoo conducts 5-6 rounds to select freshers as Software Engineers in their organization.

- Technical Round 1
- Technical Round 2
- Technical Round 3
- Technical Round 4
- HR Round
Academic Criteria:
- 75 percent or above in B.Tech, Class X and XII.
- No backlogs at the time of the interview
Online Round:
Written round often consists mainly of two sections namely, General Aptitude and Technical. The technical section contains questions often from Computer Networks, DBMS, Unix, data structures, Algorithms, and c/c++ output questions. Technical Rounds:
The students who clear the written round are called for a Technical Interview. To clear this round you should be clear with your basics. You should be prepared with Operating Systems and Computer Networks. Students will be expected to write codes in the interview. They could also be asked questions from resumes. You may be asked puzzles in this round.
HR Round:
You can expect general HR questions like :
