My Path to SSC CGL/CHSL Exam Preparation
Among the most sought-after competitive exams in India are the SSC CGL (Staff Selection Commission - Combined Graduate Level) and CHSL (Combined Higher Secondary Level) exams. They provide access to a wide range of esteemed government employment, such as my ideal job as a CBI officer. Candidates are tested on a variety of topics in these exams, including English comprehension, quantitative aptitude, general awareness, and general intelligence and reasoning.
I was raised in a middle-class home, so I was aware of the value of appropriate mentoring and supervision. I told my family about my goals and that I wanted to pursue coaching in Hyderabad. My family advised me not to worry about the costs because they were always there for me and saw my potential. They urged me to focus on my dreams and make them proud.
Beginning My Journey of Preparation
With their approval, I enrolled in a reputable Hyderabadi coaching program. The institute offered top-notch resources and a supportive learning atmosphere. Being around people who shared my goals and were similarly committed to my success was motivating. Strong foundations were built with the crucial guidance of seasoned instructors.
The Value of Practice Exams
Regular mock test-taking was one of the primary methods that really aided me. These assessments were essential in helping me determine my strengths and shortcomings so that I could concentrate on the areas that need work. The value of practice examinations for anyone getting ready for competitive exams cannot be overstated. They assist with time management and decreasing anxiety in addition to acquainting you with the format of the exam anxiety..
My Experience on the Tier 1 Exam
In July, after months of intense study, the Tier 1 exam was finally offered. I had practiced and studied for many hours, and it had paid off. This time around, the exam cutoff was rather high—roughly 160 out of 200—so I was happy to receive 168 marks. It was a very confident and satisfying moment & booster
Preparing for the Tier 2 Exam
My attention is now focused on the even more important Tier 2 exam. I intend to devote all of my time to getting ready for this stage over the course of the next four to five months. I'm motivated to succeed despite the high stakes and tough competition by sticking to my well-organized study schedule and practicing consistently.
Based on my personal experience, the following advice is for anyone hoping to ace the SSC CGL exam:
Do's:
- Join a Good Coaching Institute: For structured guidance, if at all possible, enlist in a reputable coaching institute.
- Regular Mock Tests: To evaluate your readiness and enhance your time management abilities, take regular mock tests.
- Study Plan: Formulate a consistent, practical study schedule. Give the subjects you find difficult extra time.
- Revision: To make sure you remember the material, go over the subjects you have studied again and again.
- Remain Current: Since current events are a crucial component of the General Awareness portion, stay up to speed on them.
Do Nots:
- Avoid Cramming at the Last Minute: Last-minute scrambling might worsen stress levels and impair memory.
- Don't Neglect Your Health: Lead a healthy lifestyle that includes enough sleep and food. A sound body leads to a sound mind.
- Steer clear of distractions: During your preparation period, avoid distractions such as excessive use of social media.
- Avoid Comparing: Concentrate on your planning and development. Making self-references to other people might be discouraging.
In summary
Exam preparation for the SSC CGL/CHSL is a demanding but worthwhile process. Reaching your desired job is achievable with perseverance, the correct direction, and a calculated approach. My family's support, perseverance, and unwavering focus on my objectives have all been essential components of my journey thus far.
