The first chapter of the political science curriculum of Class 7 Political Science is On Equality. The chapter introduces us to the role of equality in democracy, with special reference to India. The seventh chapter is about "Markets Around Us". The chapter deals with different market sites, operation of chain of market, role of wholesale markets and a larger understanding of markets.
Chapter 8: A Shirt in The Market
The eighth chapter is A Shirt in The Market. It deals with how markets offer people with different opportunities through the "story of a shirt" and the chain of markets which are involved in the process and the need to find more viable avenues for the equitable distribution.
